Fear not! Your concerns are addressed here. Our hope is to provide useful information we’ve gathered from countless bathroom remodels we’ve completed.

Plumbing

The majority of homes built in Missouri after 1970 have a minimum of two first-floor bathrooms. To move drains, pipes, supply, and sewer lines is a dirty job and incredibly labor-intensive, especially if the house was built on a concrete slab. If old cast iron pipes were used when the home was built, they should be replaced to avoid rust and decay that can cause serious issues and endanger the contents of your home.

Additionally, bathroom showers have special considerations, based on their design and initial installation. Regardless of the type of shower you have or want, a reputable waterproofing system is a must before the tile is installed to prevent leaks.

How Much Does a 5′ x 8′ Bathroom Remodel Cost?

To give you an idea of how much a standard-sized bathroom remodel will cost, we’re offering a few numbers for you to crunch.

A basic 5’ x 8’ hall bathroom with 8’ ceilings generally costs $8,000-$10,000, for the simple replacement of wall tile, tub, and vanity. These numbers increase if door and window replacements, soffit removals, light fixture installations, and tub/shower conversions are part of the project.

One customer received a stunning bathroom remodel after spending $18,000, to replace a few doors, remove and replace portions of the ceiling, install new lighting, convert the tub to a shower and add a few unique finishes. The point is, costs vary based on your vision and budget.
